Halibut fishing will be open on the following days in Area 5:

  • Saturday, May 7
  • Thursday – Saturday, May 12 – 15
  • Thursday – Sunday, May 26-29

There is a daily catch limit of one-fish with no minimum size restrictions. All anglers must record their catch on a Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife catch record card.

Anglers fishing in Areas 5 and 6 may retrain lingcod and Pacific cod caught while fishing for halibut as long as they are fishing in waters deeper than 120 feet on days in which halibut fishing is open.
